A meaningful, confidence-building way to celebrate your teen’s senior year

Senior year is a season filled with so many emotions: pride, excitement, and the realization that your child is stepping into adulthood. The Senior Experience by Leah Parente Photography was created to honor this chapter with intention, beauty, and purpose.

This is not simply a photography program.

It is a year-long, guided experience designed to help teens grow in confidence, build positive friendships, and preserve their senior year through heirloom-quality artwork your family will treasure for generations.

For parents, The Senior Experience offers something rare: a safe, structured, and meaningful way for your teen to be celebrated while surrounded by encouragement, creativity, and community.

What Is The Senior Experience?

The Senior Experience is a select program for high school seniors in the greater Raleigh, NC area who partner with Leah Parente Photography throughout their senior year. From June 2026, through May 2027, participants take part in one individual senior session tailored directly to them and ten curated group portrait sessions, each paired with a thoughtfully planned activity that promotes connection, reflection, and celebration.

Rather than one single photo shoot, your teen experiences senior year as a collection of beautiful moments — professionally guided and intentionally designed.

This experience is rooted in three pillars:

Confidence building

Positive peer connection

Meaningful keepsakes for families

A Year Designed With Purpose

Each session is more than a photo opportunity. Every gathering includes a planned activity that allows teens to relax, connect, and feel supported in a positive group environment.

A Positive, Supportive Environment

Your teen is surrounded by peers who are kind, respectful, and excited to participate in a creative and uplifting experience. This is not a competitive or performative program, it is rooted in encouragement and belonging.

Confidence That Extends Beyond Photos

Many teens enter feeling nervous in front of the camera and leave standing taller, speaking more confidently, and feeling proud of who they are becoming. The growth is visible not just in portraits, but in attitude and self-assurance.

Structure and Professional Guidance

All sessions are carefully planned, communicated in advance, and professionally led. Parents are included in the interview process so expectations are clear and families feel informed and comfortable from the beginning. Parents are also welcome to attend all group shoots and are encouraged to support their senior at their individual senior session.

Meaningful Keepsakes for Your Family

Beyond digital images, families are invited to create:

Custom-designed albums

Fine art prints

Framed wall art

Keepsake products

These heirloom pieces become part of your home and your family story, not just files on a phone.

Addressing Common Parent Questions

“Is this just about social media?”

No. While seniors may share images online, the heart of The Senior Experience is community, confidence, and celebrating senior year in a healthy and meaningful way. Photography simply preserves the moments.

“What if my teen is busy with school and activities?”

A scheduling questionnaire is sent out before the program begins to minimize conflicts. While attendance is strongly encouraged, sessions are planned with students’ academic and extracurricular commitments in mind.

“Do we have to purchase photos from every session?”

No. Images are sold separately after each session, and there is no obligation to purchase from every shoot. Your teen is encouraged to attend for the experience, regardless of purchasing decisions.

“Is this safe and well organized?”

Yes. Parents are included in the interview process and welcome to attend all sessions, communication is clear, and sessions are professionally managed with structured activities and expectations.
